Inrobics opens its investment round to scale social artificial intelligence applied to health and care

En Inrobics We were born with a question: how can we get technology to help professionals provide better care and allow more people to access personalized care?

After more than a decade of research in artificial intelligence and social robotics, that question has become a technological platform that is already being used in hospitals, social and healthcare centers, early intervention centers, schools and homes.

Now we are opening a new chapter.

Our investment round, available through StartupxploreIts objective is to boost the growth of Inrobics, expand our deployments and continue developing technology capable of responding to some of the main challenges of health and care systems.

From research to a technology applied in real-world environments

Inrobics It was born as a spin-off of the Carlos III University of Madrid from the research work of its founders in social robotics and artificial intelligence.

From the outset, we were clear that technology shouldn't remain confined to the laboratory. It had to become a useful, accessible, and easy-to-integrate tool in the daily work of professionals.

The result is Alma®, our social artificial intelligence platform. A proprietary, modular, and device-independent technology that enables experiences through social robots, virtual avatars, tablets, and other interfaces.

This architecture allows us to apply the same technological foundation in three main areas:

  • Health and rehabilitation.
  • Longevity and home care.
  • Special education.

Alma® analyzes interactions, adapts activities to each person's performance, and provides professionals with useful information. The goal is not to replace human care, but to expand its capabilities, automate certain tasks, and allow teams to dedicate more quality time to individuals.

Scientific evidence and clinical validation

In healthcare, developing a technology is not enough. It is necessary to demonstrate that it is safe, useful, and appropriate for the environments in which it will be used.

Therefore, research and clinical validation are at the core of InrobicsWe have over ten years of applied research experience and scientific publications in international publishers and journals such as IEEE, Springer, and Elsevier.

Our solution Inrobics Rehab It is certified as a Class I medical device with CE marking in accordance with the European Medical Devices Regulation. The platform allows professionals to prescribe activities, monitor performance, and adapt interventions to the needs of each user.

The results obtained so far show:

  • A therapeutic adherence greater than 95%.
  • The possibility of tripling the therapeutic intensity.
  • A reduction of up to 90% in the time spent by professionals on certain repetitive tasks.
  • Increased user motivation and participation during sessions.

This data is the result of years of collaboration between clinical professionals, researchers, developers, centers and users.

A technology that has already left the laboratory

Inrobics It has moved beyond the stage where technology only had to demonstrate its technical viability. Our solutions are already deployed in real-world healthcare, educational, and social care settings.

We currently have:

  • More than 20 centers and platforms deployed.
  • More than 1.000 users directly impacted.
  • More than 500.000 euros in accumulated income.
  • Recurring monthly income of approximately 16.000 euros.

The technology has been implemented in hospitals, nursing homes, early intervention centers, schools, and other specialized facilities. We also collaborate with public administrations, major healthcare providers, and technology partners who help us access larger-scale institutional projects.

This evolution has allowed us to build a growth model in which pilot projects and initial implementations can become larger contracts and deployments across entire networks of centers.

A market marked by the need to scale up care

Health and social care systems face a structural challenge: the demand for care increases while professionals have limited time and resources.

Given this reality, technology must be able to contribute to making care more accessible, personalized, and sustainable.

Our proposal is to enable professionals to configure, monitor, and analyze interventions supported by social artificial intelligence, both in the clinic and in patients' homes. This allows professionals to remain at the center of decision-making while simultaneously expanding the scope of their work.

The ability to deploy Alma® on different devices also avoids dependence on a single robot or format. This flexibility facilitates the adaptation of the technology to different contexts, user profiles, and care models.

Commercial traction and growth capacity

In addition to the deployments already carried out, Inrobics It has over 800.000 euros in contracts in the process of closing for upcoming projects and an active commercial pipeline of over 12 million euros, mainly concentrated in administrations, hospitals, socio-health groups and other institutional clients.

These figures do not represent guaranteed revenue, but rather business opportunities at different stages of development and negotiation. However, they do reflect the growing interest in solutions capable of improving efficiency, continuity of care, and personalized care.

The round will allow us to strengthen the areas needed to convert a larger part of these opportunities into real and recurring deployments.

Why are we opening this investment round?

This round responds to a specific need: to accelerate a technology that has already been researched, developed and validated, and which now needs to expand its implementation capacity.

The funds raised will be directed towards:

  • Continue developing and refining Alma®.
  • Strengthen clinical and scientific evidence.
  • Expand commercial and operational capacity.
  • Accelerate deployments in health, longevity, and special education.
  • Advance international expansion.
  • Prepare the next steps of the regulatory strategy.
  • Consolidate alliances with major operators and technology partners.

It's not just about installing more robots. It's about building a technological infrastructure capable of supporting professionals and users across different stages, devices, and environments.

The backing of investors specializing in technology transfer

The round features Grow Venture Partners as a reference investor. It is a fund specializing in deeptech, scientific spin-offs and technology transfer from universities and research centers.

Their participation reinforces one of the main differentiating elements of Inrobics: the combination of scientific knowledge, technological property, validation in real environments and the ability to develop a scalable model.

Grow Venture Partners particularly highlights the potential of Alma® as a technological platform for the fields of care, rehabilitation and active aging, as well as the experience of the founding team to transform advanced research into a commercial product.

A new stage for Inrobics

Inrobics It began with two doctoral theses, a little-known technology, and the conviction that social robotics could help improve people's lives.

Today we have a multidisciplinary team, a certified healthcare product, our own social artificial intelligence platform, real-world implementations, and a growing network of professionals, centers, collaborators, and investors.

The round represents the next step in that journey.

We want this technology, born from Spanish research, to reach more hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and private homes. We want to continue generating evidence, improving our solutions, and expanding the capabilities of caregivers.

The investment opportunity in Inrobics It remains open through Startupxplore:
